Zaplakalo e Mariovo

(A song about the voivode Gjorgi Sugarev)
Zaplakalo e Mariovo - sung by Nikola Badev from Kavadarci

Zaplakalo e Marievo, zaplakalo
za toj si Gjorgi, Gjorgi Sugarev:
- Kade si, Gjorgi, sega da dojdish, lele, da dojdish
od dushmanite da nè kurtulish?!

Izviknal togash Gjorgi Sugarev, se proviknal
od tija gori em balkani:
- Slusham, bre narod, narod poroben, lele, izguben,
slusham vi glasot, glasot zhalosten.

- Sega za skoro jaze ke dojdam, ke pristignam
so cheterieset bash drugari,
site so kusi maliheri, maliheri,
site so nagan levorveri.

Seta druzhina mu ja izbija na Sugarev.
Od site strani Gjorgi sardisan!
Togash izvadi nagan levorver, Gjorgi Sugarev
samiot krvta si ja proleja,
samiot krvta si ja proleja Gjorgi Sugarev,
zhiv na dushmani ne se predade!
